Synopsis
From ancient times onward, the world of Remnant has faced the constant menace of the Grimm—nightmarish beings driven to destroy humans and the half-human Faunus alike. To defend themselves, the four kingdoms founded academies that train youths to become huntsmen, warriors dedicated to eliminating Grimm. In the kingdom of Vale, the cheerful 15-year-old Ruby Rose has long aspired to attend the prestigious Beacon Academy. Unfortunately, being too young, she can only watch as her older sister, Yang Xiao Long, departs for the school alone. However, everything shifts when Ruby fends off a group of armed thieves, and news of her skillful feat reaches Beacon's headmaster, Professor Ozpin. Overjoyed, Ruby receives an invitation to join the academy alongside her sister. Meanwhile, across the world in the kingdom of Atlas, corporate heiress Weiss Schnee defies her father's wishes and heads for Beacon, her heart filled with anxious determination. At the same time, the solitary rogue Blake Belladonna leaves her vigilante group behind, hoping to find a better life at the academy. When their paths cross, the meeting between the four girls is far from cordial. With vastly different personalities and beliefs, they often clash. Yet, when they unite, team RWBY begins to make waves across Beacon unlike any seen before.
