Synopsis
Sink takes place in Tomioka's brightly colored yet worn and grimy surreal world, where commuter trains are packed with deep sea divers reading pornography. Sealed off inside their protective shells from any real human contact, the commuters are clearly inspired by Tomioka's experiences on Tokyo's subway but perhaps stand for everyone who isolates themselves behind iPods, computers, and books, afraid of genuine face-to-face human interaction.
