Synopsis
The aloof high school student Mo Fan awakens in a world much like his own, yet fundamentally changed—here, magic has taken the place of science. The most talented students are trained to master the art of spellcasting in order to defend against the massive, fearsome beasts that prowl the forests surrounding the city. Just as in his former life, Mo Fan is the son of a poor laborer and the older stepbrother to a disabled sister. Despite these hardships, he dreams of enrolling in a magic school to become a magician—a highly respected and lucrative profession—so he can repay his father for his sacrifices. Mo Fan is admitted to a prestigious magic academy. However, rumors spread about his poverty and lack of magical talent, making him the school's laughingstock.
