Synopsis
In the far distant future, on a planet that might have once been called "earth," a war raged between samurai who had mechanized their bodies. Following that long conflict, people enjoyed a fragile peace. Now the farmers of Kanna Village face starvation and abduction by fearsome mechanized bandits known as the Nobuseri. They make the dangerous decision to hire samurai for protection. Kirara, the village's water priestess, her younger sister Komachi, and a heartbroken villager named Rikichi set out to recruit willing samurai, offering only rice from their meager harvests in payment. After dangerous encounters and some luck, seven samurai with varying specialties and experience are assembled for an epic battle against the bandits and the merchants who control them. Samurai 7 is loosely based on Akira Kurosawa's famous film "Seven Samurai" / "Shichinin no Samurai."
