Synopsis
Bocchan, a newly minted graduate, heads off to his first teaching post with no idea of the trials in store. He has to deal with students who spy on him and play nasty tricks, as well as a landlord who keeps trying to pawn off worthless antiques. During a fishing trip meant to lift his spirits, Bocchan begins to suspect Hotta—the only friend he has in the village—of being behind all his troubles. But that is only the start of his difficulties. At a meeting convened to address the students' disrespectful behavior toward Bocchan, the proposed punishment is surprisingly lenient given the seriousness of their actions. Yet the very person Bocchan thought was his enemy comes to his defense! Could the other faculty members have been lying about Hotta? Bocchan may soon uncover the truth, because when evidence of the dean's shady dealings surfaces, Bocchan and Hotta must join forces to trap the dean in his own scandalous game.
