Synopsis
The world we know is only half the picture, as Takeshi Nanase discovers abruptly one summer morning. While heading to kendo practice, he finds an unconscious girl in an unfamiliar uniform. He does the right thing and helps her, but when she wakes up, she accidentally transforms him into a magic-user. Takeshi learns that there is his world and the world of magic users. Most magic users simply want to coexist peacefully with non-magicians, but some have greater ambitions. Mui Aiba is a magician enrolled at Subaru Magic Academy, where magic users learn to control their powers and live in harmony with ordinary humans. After his fateful encounter with Mui, Takeshi and his newly magical friends Kurumi Isoshima and Kazumi Ida also decide to enroll at the academy. Each of the three friends has different reasons for continuing to fight—whether to escape the past or catch up to the future. They wield different kinds of powers, which they must learn to harness to fight off the Ghost Trailers, a group of magicians willing to use violence to assert their superiority over humans. Pursued by the Ghost Trailers, Takeshi and his friends must train to become stronger, face the leader of the Trailers, and prevent the start of the Second Great Magic War.
